Is this the way of fixing bugs in (K)ubuntu? If the "remember
authorization" checkbox does not work, we simply remove the checkbox
instead of fixing the underlying problem?

Ok, for me this is the straw that breaks the camel's back. After five
years, I'm out of Ubuntu. Debian, here I come.
