Same bug on Ubuntu since oeneric (11.10).

Qt: 4.7.4
KDE Development Platform: 4.7.1 (4.7.1)
digiKam: 2.1.1

PTP cameras cause the following error message:
digikam(9245)/digikam (core): Failed to detect camera with GPhoto2 from Solid information
