[Bug 877421] [NEW] System Settings -> Application Appearance -> Fonts does not set Desktop fonts directly

Public bug reported:

Whenever I set the desktop fonts, despite of 'apply', nothing happens.
It needs a restart to pick up this setting. The other fonts are set with
'Apply'. This is for 'Search and Launch' Desktop, at least.
