[Bug 853570] [NEW] KDE crashes to KDM when using effects only when logging in via KDM (startx works)

Public bug reported:

As the summary says: KDE crashes during loading to KDM when effects are
enabled about 9 out of 10 times.

After logging in the 2nd time after such a crash effects are disabled, I
can re-enable them w/o issue. Until I log out and in again, and it
crashes again.

Using startx to start KDE it works flawlessly, never crashes.
