[Bug 855572] [NEW] KDE Taskbar has blank space between items

Public bug reported:

After running for a bit, there appears a blank space in my KDE taskbar.
It is almost like there is some hidden task there that just doesn't show
up. New tasks will open below it (I'm running the taskbar on the left
side).

I've done a quick screen grab video showing the problem in action:
