Public bug reported:

Hi,

Here is my system information:
Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Release: 12.04

kde-config-touchpad:
  Installed: 0.8.1-1ubuntu1
  Candidate: 0.8.1-1ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 0.8.1-1ubuntu1 0
        500 http://mirrors.tummy.com/pub/ftp.ubuntulinux.org/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I am running Kubuntu 12.04 x64 on a Thinkpad T520. This is the output
regarding the package from dpkg with the version and such: kde-config-
touchpad 0.8.1-1ubuntu1
touchpad configuration tool (synaptiks)

I have tried multiple times to use the bug reporting tool along with
debug packages to get a sufficient amount of information sent off, but
it continues to tell me my report is not useful.

Without fail, synaptiks will crash after resuming from a suspend. I have
initiated the suspend in different ways, key combinations, shutting the
lid, or just selecting suspend from the battery monitor plasmoid. If
there is any other information I can provide, please contact me. If
there is a better way I should go about disabling the touchpad while
typing, I am also open to that. I expected the program to resume
successfully, but instead it crashes. I need to restart it twice to get
it running correctly after that.

Thnak you for your time.

** Affects: synaptiks (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
