Thanks for your effort to improve Ubuntu/Kubuntu by reporting this
issue!
I have prepared a possible fix (the merge request linked to this
report), but since I don't use Kubuntu myself, I haven't tested that it
works as expected. Therefore I uploaded the same branch to my PPA at
https://launchpad.net/~gunnarhj/+archive/misc, and it would be great if
a couple of Kubuntu users could install and run the resulting build
(once it's built, that is) and report back here before I actually
propose that the fix is uploaded to the archive.
