[Bug 910907] [NEW] "kdeinit fails to launch desktop folder/icon shortcuts with plasma desktop shell"

Public bug reported:

folders like ~/Videos using the icon view on the desktop do not launch
either from the desktop or from the panel, if previously dragged there
from /home/user . The dialog titled Plasma Desktop Shell pops up with
the message "KDEinit could not launch /home/user/foldername'.This issue
has been on my pc since KDE 4.3 and persists on KDE4.7.95 on kubuntu
12.04 64bit as well. .
