This bug was marked as a duplicate of bug #993672 but I don't have
update-notifier (0.119ubuntu8.4) precise installed. It has some gnome
dependencies like update-manager-gnome.  There is also notification-
daemon 0.7.3-1 in repository, which I don't have installed.

I do have  kubuntu-notification-helper 11.10ubuntu1 in Kubuntu 12.04 Precise installed and this is seems to be the source of the problem.
I have also installed muon-notifier 1.3.1-0ubuntu2.

Should I install update-notifier or anything else? But it wasn't installed by default in Kubuntu I guess.

Is it really a duplicate or separate issue for Kubuntu developers?
