To run the test case run:

qmake -project

add "QT += sql" to the *.pro file.

When running on precise, I get:

kev at nine:~/Downloads/temp$ ./temp 
BUG! load_extension should work due to -system-sqlite in build 
QSqlError(1, "Unable to fetch row", "not authorized")
