[Bug 947290] [NEW] No kopete in Kubuntu 12.04 Beta-1 but no Telepathy yet either?

Public bug reported:

All the favorites in my kickoff application launcher have icons except for kopete.
And when I click on kopete nothing happens.
I have just applied updates hoping kopete would be replaced by Telepathy-KDE Instant Messaging, per this announcement.

But, after the reboot, nothing changed.
I am sure I could install one or the other, but if I simply wait on updates will I eventually get Telepathy?
