You can now leave the "applications" view by pressing left arrow, when
you are already in the leftmost column. And, you can also "escape" from
the Applications View by Pressing "Key_Up", while in the top-left
corner, or Key_Down, while at the bottom.

Key_up, Key Down, and Key_Tab all function to enter the Applications
View -- although, depednign on whether you've entered it before, and
where you last left it, it might take two hits.
