@Achim: Did you configure anything in digikam or it's config files to
get ffmpegthumbs (or ffmpegthumbnailer or kffmpegthumbnailer for that
matter) working for digikam. I assume the  "ThumbnailCreator" process
needs some input to know which thumbnailer to choose.
