I am using an Ubuntu template from Stacklet.com along with Xen running
on CentOS with a SolusVM control panel. I have contacted stacklet
thinking it may be an issue with there template, but they have adviced
to submit a report.
10.04 and 11.04 have worked fine. I setup a 10.04 to compare.
I logged into both systems and enabled packet logging with iptables:
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -j LOG --log-prefix ' INPUT TCP ' --log-level 4
iptables -A INPUT -p icmp -j LOG --log-prefix ' INPUTICMP ' --log-level 4
When I ping and or ssh to the 12.04 box I can see that the packets are
being logged. In other words packets are making it to the 12.04 VM.
For instance even though the ping packets are reaching the destination,
the client on my side is not getting responses back.
>From within the 12.04 VM via the console, I can see that all of the
routes are correct and I can ping the gateway. This is also borne out
when doing a traceroute. Packets stop at the gateway.
