I do observe the same problem. It's so annoying. 
But for my part, after few days, my x session just crash (looks like the Killed signal). Which oftenly implies lost of work.
I also observe that running and killing many times Skype application raise the number of misc very fast.

KDE version used: 4.9.1
Kubuntu 12.04

Does anyone have any idea on how to track down this bug. I'm familiar
with gdb, so don't hesitate if any compilation/scenario are needed !
