Ok, now this configuration works for 'Medium Italic' too (it was easier than I thought).
Probably this is not a "full range" solution, but it surely fixed the problem in my case.

This bug is still present in Ubuntu or Saucy adopted the patches in this thread to fix it?
In Debian it's still present and that means probably that upstream code hasn't merged those patches.
