still exists in kde 4.9.5

having no additional apps open, just desktop widgets (weather+eth traffic + temperature monitor)
when i remove the ethernet cable the whole desktop freezes,

i tried to disable network in networkmanager plasmoid before removing
the cable -

the result is the same

ctrl-alt-backspace does not solve the problem
