Public bug reported:

I have the latest version of kig installed on 12.04. Python scripting
support should be available thru Objects-> Other. However, it is not
available. I have communicated with the kig developers who have
confirmed this. It looks like the boost libraries were not in place
during the build (searched thru the build log from here)

precise-i386.kig_4%3A4.8.4-0ubuntu0.1_BUILDING.txt.gz

Is there a kig binary that has support for python scripting for 12.04?

Thanks

Based on the suggestion to this comment, I am opening a bug report:

To reproduce:

Install the latest version of kig from the repository.
Start Kig, click on Objects -> Other - you see no link to Python scripting, which, according to the online manual, you should see.

The log of the build (referred to above) shows that the build did not
get the boost-dev libraries which are apparently required for python
scripting support.
