Public bug reported:
With two (side by side) monitors in use,
/usr/lib/kde4/libexec/kscreenlocker_greet throws up a password dialogue
on both monitors. This is a nice feature, but...
Unfortunately, the blinking text cursor appears in only one of the (two)
dialogue boxes and if the mouse cursor is not positioned on the
corresponding monitor, keyboard input is ignored. In fact you cannot
even Tab, Cntrl-Tab, or Alt-Tab to move keyboard focus onto one of the
dialogue boxes so you can type. You have to move the mouse onto which
ever monitor happens to have the keyboard focus before any keyboard
input will be recognized. Needless to say, if your mouse isn't working
when your screen is locked, your SOL.
Note that I use "Focus follows mouse" and "focus stealing prevention:
low".
