Public bug reported:
Hi,
I have Ubuntu 12.04LTS + KDE 4.12.0/ppa. It is a laptop where I usually
connect an external VGA for a dual monitor setup. When going from using
the LVDS to dual (plugging the external VGA one) everything works fine,
with KDE asking to run the system settings program. But when
disconnecting the external monitor, KDE does not seem to realize it. So
when I try to open the System Settings, it opens it in the (now blank)
screen.
The workaround is always to switch off by hand to external monitor
before unplugging it.
Juan
