You have been subscribed to a public bug by James Cain (ronnoc):

Running 12.04 on several client machines (using KTorrent 4.1.3) it is
found that KTorrent is simply not useable. For example, magnet links
simply do not work (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302997). IP
blocklists do not work. And finally, there is a bug (now fixed) where
KTorrent can only pick up one tracker no matter how many are packaged
with the torrent file, which often results in torrents simply never
being downloaded.

For summary, see
:https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?product=ktorrent&component=general&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=CONFIRMED&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_severity=major

Also, here is the KTorrent changelog since the release of 4.1.3 for reference:
http://paste.kde.org/phkxwjhhc

...Too many fixes to ignore, IMHO, for a product shipped as part of base
install. 4.3.1 is the "current" stable release, two major versions
after 4.1.3, which was released in November 2011 (see:
http://ktorrent.pwsp.net/?q=node/52).

** Affects: ktorrent (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
