[Bug 1432854] [NEW] videos only play in kaffeine when opened the second time (first time green nonsense)

Public bug reported:

All videos that I want to play in `kaffeine` require to be opened two
times because the first time almost the complete screen is in different
greens allowing to guess what the image would look like. The second time
the videos play fine reliably.
