Most other distributions using KDE have a faster update- & backport policy for this package (as to mention Fedora, 
OpenSuse - Arch is rolling release-thus not comparible)

Since this package provides a cross-plattform-experience it should
definitely not be left out.

Numberous bugs are sorted out by users, get fixed upstream and dont
arrive downstream:
