[Bug 1509645] [NEW] temporary desktop freeze after login

With a clean install of Kubuntu 15.10 64bit release and applied latest updates this delay remains. 
It did not appear until an update was applied to a beta 1 version about 01/10/2015.  After logging in,  the desktop with wallpaper appears with icons that have no caption and the desktop panel has nothing in it. Then there is a 35 second delay  before the icon captions appear and the panel is filled in. Then everything works.

System :- AMD quad core processor, 16GB ram,  Nvidia GTX750 graphics card.
Gigabyte UEFI Dual BIOS MB.

Changing the graphics driver has no effect neither has turning off
desktop effects.
