[Bug 1695913] [NEW] digikam freezes on GPX file selection

Public bug reported:

I use digikam 5.4.0 with Ubuntu 17.04. When I open the geoclocation
dialog and click on the button ("GPX-Dateien laden" in german) to select
a GPX file, digikam freezes and I have to kill the process. No file open
dialog to select a GPX file is opened.
