I have gotten the impression that Jimmy  Page  was a bit hard to  get
along with  although this is only what I have  gathered from  things I
have read  or seen about him. He seems to be a pretty eccentric guy with
a load of talent.  The fact that  he was a  session player for a good
while does provide a bit of proof  that he was comfortable working in
the confines of other  peoples work respectfully  (which is kind  of
rare even  these days.) That  being said,  I saw him  recently on  Jimmy
Fallon promoting the newly remastered  Led Zeppelin catalogue and  he
looked  extremely  good and spoke sharply for his age. In the
documentary It Might Get Loud he  seemed a  little out of touch to me
especially when he seemed  to  be  annoyed that the other two guys  were
singing while JP kept shouting  something along the lines of  "I can't
sing" and wishing they would stop as he felt unincluded. Maybe  I'm
completely wrong about that instance showing him  in a negative light,
but I was  very happy to see him in good shape  when I saw him  more
recently on The Tonight Show.
