Plasma discover developer conforms this fix is sensible.

  On installing a snap, the transaction in the UI appears to complete and
  reach 100% in the progress of the 'tasks', but at that point simply
  stays with that status. The UI then does not return to show installed or
  allow to be closed. Force closing the UI and starting again show that
  the snap installed ok.
  
  This seems to have been addressed in the 5.14 upstream branch (5.13 is
  now not getting updates)

  close discover as it refuses to do so normally saying that tasks still
