Upstream bug in comment #4 was a duplicate of
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319998 which was fixed on 2018-12-27.
With no comments here for over seven years I think we can assume that the
problem is fixed in Kubuntu too and has been for some time.
Not a problem here using dolphin 23.08.5 and Kubuntu 24.04.
