[Bug 2084346] [NEW] crash of akregatgor after upgrade to 24.10 (oracular) / wayland

I have bee using akregator flawlessly for years, but since the upgrade
to Kubuntu 24.10 (Oracular) with KDE6 and Wayland, when akregator is
launched from the console, it crashes with this error message

$ LC_ALL=C akregator
QSocketNotifier: Can only be used with threads started with QThread
akregator: ../src/wayland-eglsurface.c:2562: wlEglDestroySurface: Assertion `wl_list_empty(&surface->ctx.streamImages)' failed.
KCrash: crashing... crashRecursionCounter = 2
KCrash: Application Name = akregator path = /usr/bin pid = 109603
KCrash: Arguments: /usr/bin/akregator
The Wayland connection experienced a fatal error: Bad file descriptor

This seems to be related to the libnvidia-egl-wayland1 version 1.1.15 according to this page
https://github.com/NVIDIA/egl-wayland/issues/129

I haven't been able to test with previous version (1.1.13 seems to be
unaffected) nor with egl-wayland version 1.1.16 which seems to solve
this particular problem

I am running the KDE desktop with plasma 6.1.5 / Qt 6.6.2 and nVidia
560.35.03 and Wayland

akregator version is 4:23.08.5-0ubuntu8
