I dont understand .... what else do you think I was proposing ? This is
exactly what I mean - something to handle all aspects of the HAL/DBUS combo.

Well, *anything* can be extended to handle anything :) You toaster could
become a nuclear bomb if you wished it to be so :) Currently, ivman is
restricted to DBUS events.

Again, we come to the same thing: what did you think I was proposing ? ;) I
thought I was quite clear when writing the emails of the past 2 days :)

hmm well. I think this is where it all leads to: I didn't know that pmount
doesnt allow you to mount hard disks - no wonder it didnt work :/.
