developer comments on "the right way(tm)" of doing things

Hello,

I wrote a document called "how to convert your windows friend to kubuntu", 
check it out at

I'd like to hear you comments about my technical solutions/recommendations 
described in the document. 

I'm not sure about what is "the right way (tm)" of doing things in Kubuntu 
since I don't have expertice on all these fields about video codecs, device 
drivers, font management etc...


BTW, the pages listed at wiki.ubuntu.com/kubuntu have about 50% outdated 
information.. is there any ideas how to clean it up wisely?
