problems playing CDs

I just tried Kaffeine for the first time with Audio CD and it just worked - no 
need to configure CDROM location.

KsCD problem is probably the same I have reported in the following bug:
https://launchpad.net/bugs/30809
Can you try changing settings as mentioned in bug and report in bug your 
observations.
