Hows things? Going "fine" as usual?
 I'm fairly new guy to Linux as a developer, so just outta curiousity...
Are there any alternatives or equivalents to the following popular apps?
  *Web Development/Graphics*
 1.Macromedia Director, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc.
 2.Adobe Photoshop CS
  *Multimedia*
 1.Picasa2 powered by Google ;)
  *OS*
 1.That cool magnifying glass rollover thingy from OSX
 2.That smart metal look n feel found on OSX
  *Music - Practical*
 1.Bass guitar prog like eMediaBass
   *FORMAT to show alternatives:* *Alternative(s) : No. App* 
 *eg. XMMS, Amarok : 1.Winamp*

If you have other *favourites* please add to the list, *it would be nice to 
build a list of alternatives *
*that everyone can use to convince their buddys that Kubuntu isn't a waist
