How to clean up unnecessary dependencies?

I don't know for sure - doesn't adept?  I've stopped using guis for actually
installing.  I still prefer kpackage for browsing, but then I always go to
the aptitude commandline to manage the packages - specifically because
kpackage uses apt-get.
