Excellent news! I'm hoping 3.4.1 will solve some kontact crashes I've been
having when the IMAP server times out (the joys of VPN).
Just for the record, you don't need to reboot to update KDE. Simply restart
all the logged in sessions. Or log everyone out (assuming multiple KDE users
on the same machine), then CTRL-ALT-F1 to get a console session, log into the
console and simply "sudo /etc/init.d/kdm restart".
This will force the Xserver to shutdown and restart too, but in the process
will unload all KDE comomponents then reload the new version when KDM starts
again. It's also a handy way to upgrade your display driver (eg,
nvidia-glx) :)
Besides, who wants to crucify their uptime - how the heck to we get bragging
rights with out M$-encumbered workmates?? ;) Rule of thumb: if you didn't
install a new kernel, you don't really need to reboot.
