USB Flash Drive Reconnect

I'm experiencing some problems when hotplugging a usb flash drive for a second 
time. Kubuntu does not recognize the usb device has been reconnected.

Have had similar type problems with the centrino wifi (not recognized when 
connections drops and then attempting another); resolved by reloading kernel 
module.

What kernel module(s) would I reload to for usb hotplug to accomplish the 
same, if applicable.
