Konqueror crashes

Hello,

I'm doing some file management right now - basically getting the dust of some 
files and digging through some backups so I work a lot in Konqueror. What is 
really annoying right now is the amounts Konqueror decides to just crash.

mostly it's when I use keyboard commandos - like Ctrl+X or (this happens the 
most) simply "Del". Konqueror then often will just vanish and the crash dalog 
will come up.

I almost gone so far that I try to avoid using "del" to delete files and do it 
through the context menu instead. Obviously that's not very fast and years of 
using keyboard shortcuts don't just get out of my head...

Anyway what I really wanted to ask is if this is still (with KDE 3.4.1, which 
I'm using) is know behaviour and if there is something I can do about it 
instead of not using basic features. Any help's appreciated.
