BIG problems, data loss

I have an idea ;-)

Some time ago, I had problems with the disk on which my kubuntu was
installed, and I rsynced it to another partition on another disk (in
the same machine). I edited menu.lst for grub, but it seems I had not
run grub-install to actually change the partition on which grub should
read the menu.lst. So when I rebooted yesterday, I bnooted on my old
system......

I have now back calendar back ....
