If you've recently moved from hoary to breezy there is a known bug in
the original KDE release that has been fixed -- so make sure that you
have the various breezy-updates repositories in your sources. I tend to
manage repositories by hand: edit /etc/apt/sources.list and add lines
like those for the main breezy repositories but with breezy-updates.
e.g. if you have a line like:
deb http://be.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ breezy main ....
Then add one like
deb http://be.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ breezy-updates main ....
