Dear All,

I am new to Kubuntu, I already installed the software and now I wanted 
to configure with administrative privilleges. I believe its not possible 
to log on using root.

I wanted to do some work that requires administrative privilleges like 
setting up the IP when I tried to select Network Settings, select 
administrator mode entered the root password still all is disabled I 
cannot make any changes.
