Error setting up CUPS printer on Kubuntu

Did you install the driver packets? I'm not sure which packet contains the 
driver, so i would check all of the following:

foomatic-db
foomatic-db-engine
foomatic-db-gimp-print
foomatic-db-gutenprint
foomatic-db-hpijs
foomatic-filters 
foomatic-filters-ppds
linuxprinting.org-ppds
