Detect USB Printer - Epson CX6400

I have an Epson CX6400 printer that I connected to my computer via USB
cable.  When I try to configure it via KDE's Add printer dialog, it does not
show up in the detected printers area.  Doing an "lsusb" shows that nothing
is connected.  I was able to detect the printer in windows, so I don't think
anything is wrong on the hardware side.  I feel like I need to modprobe some
sort of driver.  Any guesses?
