GNU Java vs. Sun Java: What's the difference, what is better?

I perfer the Sun Java versions, because I program Java and I can't
work without generic types (JDK >=1.5) and all the GNU resources are
1.4.2.
I also find the Sun JREs to be slightly faster, but it doesn't have as
good of integration with Linux.
