auto mount

I'm a new user of Kubuntu but not new to Linux. I've searched the archives, 
wiki and man pages but am unable to figure out how to stop the auto mounting 
of disks when a CD is inserted in the drive. I find it irritating to be 
installing a package, being asked for a particular CD, inserting it and 
having Konqueror pop up over the installer. Any help would be greatly 
appreciated.
