monitor power saving

Christian,
sorry but then I am clueless, for me it solved all problems and all I had to 
do was actually log out and back in again after placing the file in the 
correct directory. 

I would try posting on both Kubuntuforums.net and Ubuntu forums with all 
relevant details on hardware etc included.
