amarok and musicbrainz

Hi all,
I've been subscribed to this list for a while since I installed one of the 
kubuntu dapper RC CDs some weeks ago in my new ibm z60m and almost everything 
works out of the box. There are some minor issues that don't work yet. Does 
anyone here have such a laptop?

Well, that's not my primary question, I'll have more time during the summer to 
ask you a few questions ;). The thing is that I usually make use of 
the "Fill-in tags using MusicBrainz" when I am lacking some mp3 tags. But 
amarok is failing to do so, as I get a ".mp3 is not a supported filetype" 
error message. I guess this is due to some library missing or something, but 
I think I have all of them. Shouldn't all this be automatically handled by 
the dependencies on the package amarok? Anyway, I believe I have all the 
necessary libraries, but does anyone know why this could be failing?

BTW, I am updated to dapper right now.
