It is my impression that you can't upgrade Mepis 3.4.3 to 6.0, or 3.4.3
to Kubuntu 6.06; you need to reinstall from scratch. This means that
keeping your /home (or backing up your files) is very important.
Off topic: Since Mepis 6.0 is going to use Ubuntu Dapper's repositories
but implement KDE on their own, it does sort of feel like double work to
me, I wonder if there are any synergies to be explored.
