Thank you for the response.  I did what you suggested and found samba in 
kcontrol.  I changed a few things, but I was mainly flying blind and, not 
surprisingly, it didn't work.  Since I found samba in kcontrol, does that 
mean that samba is installed?  Do I still need to install Samba?  Also, when 
I search for shares in kcontrol, it shows something, but it doesn't allow me 
to change anything even if I put in the root password.  If you would like, I 
can post screen shots of what I have.  Not sure if that would be a lot of 
help to you though.
