I got the nvidia drivers by using automatix.  It's a great way to 
upgrade  the default system into something that is more accomodating to 
the average user.  It's a sticky on the forums.

Not only will it let you install the video drivers, but also the 
multimedia codecs, java, all the firefox plug ins, and much more.
