two network interfaces active at the same time?

Hello,
Well I finally got 6.06 up and running on fakeRAID and Reiserfs...phew.
Now I want to do what the title of this thread says. I have a wireless card
that is running well, configured via KNetworkManager. It has ip address
192.168.1.101 and connects to gateway 192.168.1.1.
I also have an ethernet card. I want that card active at the same time as
my wireless card, but with ip address 192.168.2.101 and connected to
gateway 192.168.2.1 (routing traffic appropriately, but I think it does
that automatically).
I've tried to set this up with System Settings -> Internet & Network ->
Network Settings, but it won't let me. It won't let me active the eth0
(ethernet) interface while the ath0 (wireless) is active.
I wonder, is this a problem with that kcontrol module or KNetworkManager?
Any tips or suggestions? Thanks for the help.
P.S. Anyway to get KNetworkManager not to use DHCP when it connects to
stuff?
